If you're an "occasional" planner and are in charge of an important event, this series of videos will help give you a solid overview of 5 key areas you'll need to be mindful of in planning your event.  This series was created with the goal of giving you a short, but impactful, overview of some of the key factors you should be aware of when embarking on the planning process.

    2. Identify several tips in researching and negotiating venues for your event.
    3. Learn whether electronic or paper invitations is right for you, and key tips for maximizing the impact of online registration.
    4. Be aware of key mistakes that novice planners often make, and tactics for avoiding them.

The Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) is a certification offered by the Convention Industry Council (CIC), an umbrella group comprised of 30 organizations. As part of the application process for the CMP, candidates are required to log a minimum of 25 Clock Hours of approved education.
