Joe McKeown is technology focused, strategic marketing event leader with 20+ years experience delivering revenue-impacting event and experiential marketing programs and is passionate about face-to-face customer and employee engagement campaigns. Joe is respected for devising and using the latest event, exhibit and marketing technologies and applications, with a laser-like focus on event ROI. Having served as a Chief Marketing Officer as well, he brings a real-world experienced to deliver what makes a successful event management process from the marketing executive perspective.
He currently heads Strategic Event Solutions at an event technology company, Message Blocks, in Ann Arbor, Mi where he leads onsite operations, sales, marketing and product development for the company. His portfolio includes thousands of large-scale marketing events, corporate communication campaigns, immersive tradeshow environments, hybrid events, recognition programs and sponsorship activations for companies from the Fortune 100 to associations to startup event and sponsorship agencies. Joe has implemented strategic meeting management solutions at multiple association and corporate clients and operated events and trade shows on 5 continents from 40,000 attendees to the most select executive planning retreats. All with a keen eye on the strategic and a fixation for perfect execution. He is best known for large production value events, featuring extensive staging, lighting, audio and engagement technology all built to connect audiences with content.
Joe actively mentors across the industry, and works with hospitality students at Michigan State University and the University of Michigan, presenting on event design and event technology for hotel and conference center -bound students.
