*We are a Seattle based catering company that has been in business for 13+ years. We are a tight team of professionals, who work with non-profits, academia, and corporate clients as well as wedding and social events. We offer globally inspired custom menus and comprehensive catering services through Washington.

This dynamic & growing organization is looking for an energetic, friendly, goal oriented individual to join our Sales Team. The position will be primarily responsible for event sales, with additional knowledge of event coordination and execution of all catering activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Working directly with clients to sell both staffed events and deliveries.
Prepare proposals and contracts.
Tracking & following up on outstanding proposals.
Manage event details for each event including:
Menu creation with the Executive Chef and Owner.
Proposals and contracts.
Internal communication & distribution of all event-related paperwork.
Communication with the client from the first phone call to the signed contact. * Build and develop client relationships.
Conduct site visits and client tastings.
Interdepartmental communication in an effective and timely manner (Sales Team, Kitchen, Operations, Staffing).
Coordinating wedding and PR showcases.
Network with related industry professionals and attend industry events.
Qualifications and Experience

Sales background with 2+ years in the hospitality/catering industry.
Excellent communication skills including phone etiquette, email and in person.
Professional personal presentation.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook and the Internet.
Working knowledge of Total Party Planner catering software preferred but will train the right candidate.
Proven track record of successful client interactions a history of driving measurable sales results.
Self-starter with attention to detail and ability to multitask.
Able to negotiate, organize, delegate & work under pressure.
Works well with others at all levels, from upper management to servers and dishwashers.
A flexible schedule is required and with the ability to work weekends, evenings.
Flexibility to work on-site throughout the Northwest corridor, as needs arise. This will include transporting yourself to events & meetings.
Creativity! We work with a wide range of clients and a team member that can plan an annual auction as easily as a Nantucket Clam Bake themed Dog Party or Day of the Dead themed wedding.
Current Food Handlers Permit.
