Website Northern Arizona University Center for International Education

Come join our team of more than 70 full-time, part-time, and student staff representing five continents and 16 native languages! This position oversees and coordinates all inbound experiential learning programs comprised of international exchange and degree-seeking students as well as short-term learning program participants.  It will supervise and manage programming with the goal of a meaningful cross-cultural experience, integrating participants on all levels (legal/immigration, academic, social, and community) for a successful and positive experience at Northern Arizona University (NAU) and in the United States.  NAU’s short-term programs are typically one to three weeks in duration and, as a whole, can include participants ranging from students to professors to higher education professionals with various learning objectives (e.g. English language acquisition, teaching methods observation, or to learn American culture).  Additionally, initial orientation programming for incoming international graduate and undergraduate students provides the fundamental basis for their success and experience at NAU and in the United States.  The Coordinator may also work closely with other CIE staff members who are hosting international delegations to ensure their experience is successful.  Delegations are typically university administrators or other professionals who visit NAU’s campus to establish a formal partnership, discuss research or educational opportunities, or other mutually beneficial agreements.

CIE employees value excellence in education, student success, diversity, and integrity.  The Coordinator has a unique ability to directly design, develop, and deliver programs for international students and guests that embody all four values and lead to a transformational experience that will inspire participants toward greater positive change, collaboration, and innovation to seek solutions to challenges in a changing world.
