Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Job Concept

Provides project management, consultative selling and client communication for high-end corporate group meetings and events.  The Event Producer is ultimately responsible for the program development, planning, execution, client satisfaction, and AlliedPRA program profitability. Works in conjunction with the Director of Events to direct the project from sales contract to program execution and group billing. Must possess exceptional communication skills and be adept at listening to a client’s needs, analyzing the group profile and providing concise information, program direction, creative options and logistical solutions to clients.

Knowledge, Skill And Ability Requirements

  1. Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in the DMC, hospitality or event planning industry
  2. Strong account management skills and prior catering sales or conference service experience
  3. Destination expertise extensive knowledge of the products, venues, vendors
  4. Exceptional communication skills; verbal and written, telephone and email etiquette, able to direct a client effectively throughout the program planning process
  5. Ability to listen, interpret, analyze and provide consultative selling to meet business and client objectives
  6. Ability to handle multiple projects (10-20) concurrently throughout the year
  7. Exemplify strong project management and deadline adherence skillset
  8. Superior creative, logistical, attention to detail and organizational skills
  9. Clear knowledge of budgets, project P/L past accountability for revenue and profit
  10. Supervisory and delegation experience preferred
  11. Ability to work independently as well as an integral part of the team
  12. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, CRM or Data Base experience preferred
  13. Conflict resolution skills, ability to remain calm under pressure of deadlines, upset staff or clients
  14. Ability to receive candid feedback and possess a high degree of accountability
  15. Superior customer service skills, maintain positive working relationships with vendors, staff and clients
  16. Ability to work flexible schedule that caters to client needs, flexible yet demanding hours including early mornings, days, nights, and weekends
  17. Satisfactory motor vehicle record and proof of valid insurance with reliable transportation

  1. Physically, mentally, and emotionally able to perform high level volume and fast paced job duties on a consistent basis
  2. Extensive telephone usage
  3. Computer keyboarding, and sitting for lengthy periods of time at a computer terminal
  4. Able to drive to/from and conduct site inspections and program events which may include walking on uneven ground and unpaved surfaces
  5. Occasional lifting and loading of program supplies into vehicles and at events
  6. Able to travel to other AlliedPRA destinations for meetings and client events as needed which may require driving through snow and inclement weather
