Chief Musical Curator, The Amani Experience
Amani Roberts (DJ AmRo) is a Washington DC born and bred creative who has been a DJ since 2008. A student of music since learning the saxophone at a very young age, DJ AmRo’s musical knowledge spans numerous decades and crosses multiple genres. Amani has had the opportunity to DJ at a variety of events and venues throughout the world (notably Washington DC, Las Vegas, Los Angeles and in Cuiaba, Brazil during the 2014 World Cup) .
Amani currently lives in Los Angeles, California and is the Chief Musical Curator for his company, The Amani Experience. This company specializes in providing music for corporate events, social events, creating original music for commercials or videos and teaching students of all ages how to DJ. The Amani Experience also has a new team building/breakout activity called “Wheels of Steel – How Learning to DJ Can Ignite Your Creativity” where attendees learn how to get over fear and use music and DJ’ing as a way of branding and expression. Amani has produced remixes of artists such as Niia, Kirby, Kehlani, Camila Cabello, Little Big Town, Changing Faces, Kevin Garrett, Alessia Cara and Major.
Amani also hosts a weekly podcast called “The Amani Experience Podcast” where he interviews creative professionals from all over the world about why they took the leap from corporate life to the creative life.
